HAILE MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT KILLED IN CRASH

According to BradentonHerald.com, 14 year old Courtney Starling was killed Sunday afternoon when her stepfather, John Vincent Dimeglio, lost control of the vehicle they were riding in after a rear tire split. Her mother, Tanya Dimeglio, was airlifted to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg. The crash occurred on I-75, just south of I-275. The family may potentially have claims against the tire manufacturer, the automobile manufacturer and their own auto insurance company.

1 PERSON DEAD IN MANATEE COUNTY CRASH

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred this morning. Carlos A. Rivera of Bradenton was operating a pick-up truck northbound on Cooper Creek Boulevard when it appears he failed to negotiate a curve, drove up over a curb and struck a tree and some shrubs. The vehicle then caught fire. The passenger in the vehicle, Haudrey F. Figueurdo, of Georgia, was killed in the crash. The driver is in serious condition at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.
