Florida Woman Injured in Boating Incident

According to the St Pete Times, Molly Rienerth of St Petersburg, Florida received deep cuts to her left leg caused by a boat propeller after she jumped out of a boat and into the water to retrieve her hat.  The incident happened near the Park Boulevard Boat Ramp in Indian Shores on Saturday afternoon.  According to witnesses, the driver of the boat, Brian K. List, did not know Ms. Rienerth had gone into the water.  A passenger on the boat, Morley C. Henry, jumped in the water and pulled Ms. Rienerth to safety.  Ms. Rienerth was being treated for serious injuries at Bayfront Medical Center.

 

THREE INJURED IN PLANT CITY ACCIDENT

James Williams of Delray Beach was taken to Brandon Regional Hospital, when the truck he was driving was hit on the passenger side by a SUV driven by a teenager on SR 60 in Plant City, Florida on Saturday, November, 27, 2010.

The passenger in the SUV, another teenager, was also taken to the hospital.

The charges are still pending in the crash according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Mr. Williams could have a potential claim against the owner and driver of the SUV, as well as his own uninsured motorist coverage.  The parents/guardians of the teenage passenger could also have a claim against the owner and driver of the SUV as well as their own uninsured motorist coverage.

 

CRASH IN SARASOTA KILLS ONE AND INJURES THREE MORE

On Sunday, November 7, 2010, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Daniel Garcia was traveling south on U.S. 301 at the intersection of University Parkway. Witnesses say he sideswiped a Jeep, then ran the red light at University Parkway striking another vehicle traveling through the intersection and then smashed into the passenger side of a Ford F-150 pickup truck in which Pamela Yoder was a passenger.

SEMI AND CAR INVOLVED IN CRASH ON CORTEZ BRIDGE

A semi tractor trailer and car were involved in a crash on the Cortez Bridge Tuesday morning.

A semi tractor trailer operated by George Gonzales of Brandon was traveling west on the Cortez Bridge Tuesday morning.  For unknown reasons, he veered into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle operated by Jonathan Quick of Bradenton Beach.  After striking Mr. Quick's vehicle, the semi then crashed through the concrete guard rail with the cab hanging over the water.  The driver of the semi had to escape through the passenger door.  Mr. Gonzales is employed by Cummings Foods.

Mr. Quick could potentially have a claim against George Gonzales and Cummings Foods for any damages he suffered as a result of the collision, including a claim for the damages to his vehicle, loss of use of the vehicle and for any personal injuries he received.
