Steven E. Heintz
Personal injury attorney Steven E. Heintz is a founding partner at Heintz & Becker. He grew up in Bradenton and has degrees from Manatee Junior College and the University of South Florida. Before attending law school, he was a private investigator. He received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University, College of Law, in 1980. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1980, Mr. Heintz worked in the Public Defender's office in Bradenton and the State Attorney's office in West Palm Beach. For the last 25 years, he's been exclusively representing catastrophic personal injury and accident victims.
Mr. Heintz is a board certified, civil trial specialist by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy and also has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, an honor granted only to the state’s top attorneys.

David S. Becker
David S. Becker is a personal injury attorney who concentrates his practice in the areas of catastrophic injury and wrongful death. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1985, where he received a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business. Thereafter, he attended Stetson University College of Law and received his Juris Doctor degree in 1988. Mr. Becker graduated cum laude and was ranked fifth in his graduating class. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1988 and is also admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
While in law school, Mr. Becker distinguished himself as an outstanding student and was named a Dana Scholar while serving as a member of his law school’s Moot Court Board.
After graduating law school, Mr. Becker served as an Assistant State Attorney in Manatee County, Florida, where he was responsible for the prosecution of serious felonies, often involving habitual felony offenders. In 1992, he began a civil practice as an associate in the litigation department of a prominent Bradenton law firm. He has since concentrated his efforts, along with Steven E. Heintz, in protecting the rights of accident victims.
David S. Becker is a member of both the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice and is a Master in the American Inns of Court. He is an Eagle sponsor of the Florida Justice Association and a proud supporter of Mother's Against Drunk Driving and has lectured at continuing legal education seminars. Eric D. Bruce
Eric D. Bruce focuses his practice on wrongful death and serious personal injury cases. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland, and moved to Florida with his family when he was a teenager. Mr. Bruce is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami, School of Law in Coral Gables, Florida, in 1992.
While at the University of Miami, he was an active participant in service and advocacy activities, earning places on the University’s Moot Court Board, Bar and Gavel Honor Society, American Bar Association National Appellate Advocacy Team, and the Attorney General’s Office Clinical Placement Program. In his final year at the University of Miami, School of Law, he was awarded the University’s Roger Sorino Award and named the outstanding graduating student in service and leadership.
Mr. Bruce was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 and moved to the Sarasota-Bradenton area that same year to begin his career as an attorney. During the course of his career, he has been engaged in various aspects of civil practice, including over ten years of service as the Senior Program Attorney for the Manatee County Clerk of Circuit Court’s Child Support Enforcement Office, where on occasion he acted in the capacity of a Special Prosecutor on behalf of the State of Florida Department of Revenue in Indirect Criminal Contempt cases. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, a long-time coach and supporter of the Manatee High School Mock Trial Team program, a continuing legal education lecturer and the 2009-2010 President for the Manatee County Bar Association.
He married University of Miami School of Law classmate Lisbeth Perucki Bruce in 1991 and together they have a son and daughter who are currently attending Manatee County Public Schools.
